INTERVIEW AT THE AIRPORT

    Thursday 31st March, we went to the airport to ask tourists with some questions  about her opinion of Barcelona after the visit to the city. We found Verena Koehler, a young Austrian tourist that was leaving the city after three days of trip.

Q: For how long have you been in Barcelona?

A: I've been three days, today is our fourth day, we have to go back, so three days.

Q: Where are you from?

A: Austria, Vienna actually.

Q: How old are you, if you don't mind?

A: 22. 

Q: Which places have you visited?

A: Ufff... OK, actually all the prettiest parts of Sagrada Família, also Casa Milà, Casa Batlló, mmm.... to this Caixa's science museum?, to see a bit of the city...

Q: Caixafòrum?

B: No, no, no, cosmo...

Q: Cosmocaixa?

A: Yes, it's a science museum. I've also visited las Ramblas, walked around the city, also the Maremagnum, and what else? What else?

A (partner): The ship.

A: Yeah, we took a boat trip, at the harbor, and I think that's it.

Q: And... where were you staying?

A: We've stayed at the Holiday In which was near the metro station Llacuna.

Q: And what's your favourite place in Barcelona?

A: Sagrada Família.

Q: Yeah?

A: That's it. Yes.

Q: And what do you think about people in Barcelona?

A: Very friendly, yes really very friendly, and there was no problems with the understanding and... so really well.

Q: What do you think about the weather in Barcelona?

A: It was really nice, because we thought it would rain, but actually sunshining so we were glad about that.

Q: And would you compare Austria with Barcelona?

A: (She laughs.) Well, back home the people are not that friendly, it's way colder, the weather of course, and... yeah what I like in Barcelona is the architecture. Modernisme is really beautiful, and we don't have that, of course, in Austria.

 

Q: And what about Barcelona's nightlife, the bars and the restaurants...?

A: Oh. Hmm... We didn't have time to go to bars, because we were so tired in the evenings, but we did a... we ate "tapas", yeah, and "calamares"...

 

Q: And paella or...?

A: Yeah (she laughs), paella too.

 

Q: And potatoes omelette?

A: Yes, yes, it was good.
